A quick stop at Troy and Christina's!!

Bike wrecks on Spruce Mountain!!

It was decided that we would take a road trip to Prescott and go for a bike ride. We went up Thumb Butte to go on a short ride. We stopped by the Pioneer Home to see Rob's step mom to say hi, then to go on one more bike ride before we left.

This is the tree that Rob broke while waiting for me to catch up. All he did was lean up against it.

We finally made it to the top of the ride on Thumb Butte. This is the short ride. 2.5 miles is all I could do. Yes, I know I'm a whimp.
Isn't he cute? He turned around and went back down the single track trail and I cheated and took the road.

This is a little outhouse that is at the top of Spruce Mountain at the Look Out. After a very long drive up a dirt road we made it to the top Rob chose to take the long way down.

These are just some of the wounds he came back with. Three crashes and one tree being hit. 25 hours later they look much worse. (I'll post later)

Ricky & April...here comes a BOY!!

On the brighter side of things...April is on her way to the hospital to have the baby at 1am! So I updated my background with a boy theme as his name is supposed to be John.

Layoffs!!!

So yesterday I go to work early to get jump on all the stuff that I have to prepare for my day at work. All of the management staff is running from meeting to meeting and the Team Leads are preparing for another meeting at 10am. At 9:45ish, my supervisor come to me and tells me that we are loosing our contract with American Express and will all be LAYED OFF by 11/25/09. What the heck? We are the pest performing site that they have and WE are loosing our job. So at Noon they Big Boss Man and the HR lady start to pull people into meeting to break the bad news to they. (I already knew what it was about so I felt very bad for them) We were all getting letters as to the date when we will be, "Terminated" as the HR lady states. Now I have o wait for an additional hour while my fellow co-workers already found out their date which was November. So now it's my turn...paranoid about the DATE. I am sitting in this room with all the phone jockeys (which I am not) are asking all of their questions about the hypothetical situations...All I want to know is MY date!! I get my letter worried that it will be sometime this summer and we are not going to get a new contract before I am "terminated", i open it up. Yes....November 25th!!! Yeah for me!!! Bad for everyone else.

All of the management staff was sure that I was going to blow my top. I remained calm all day, reassuring my fellow co-workers that it will all be okay. Today everyone came in still drunk from the night before and I am still trying to be positive about the situation, I gave up at about 3:00. I wanted to go cry for everyone and myself. The worst part about this whole thing is I have to watch my friends and people I work with every day walk out the door and possibly not come back.

Stupid, Stupid Catapillars.....grrr!

So I decided to plant my garden...yes in February. It is getting in the 80's these days which is perfect for my garden to start to bloom and look pretty. Not so much!!! Tonight I come home to find that my 2 rows of radishes that finally had the real leaves are ALL GONE. After I watered them just in case they will continue to grow without leaves I find caterpillars crawling on what was my radish. I run into the house to have Rob come take a look...which he refuses because I have not yet planted his desired vegetable, make me bring them to him. There was not just one Caterpillar but four BIG and one little baby caterpillar. Did I mention that I planted carrots and they have seemed to disappear as well?

I guess I will have to defend my ground and kill one worm at a time. If I can keep the dogs out of my garden do you think I can keep worms out as well?

I know that I am a horrible blogger. Have have not the slightest clue how to make this blog actually look good. Not to mention I really don't have anything to talk about or share with others. So in the near future I will post the best blog ever (that I could possibly create). If you have any tips or can give me an education on how this works I would love the help.

It's a sad, sad day in America!

You know...I thought that good will always triumph over evil. I guess that is not the case. America is the greatest country in the world. Now with the recent call that Obama has won the presidency...I am really confused. I firmly believe that we must be self reliant, we need to depend on no one but ourselves. That is not the message that was made today in this country. I am truly afraid of what is to come.

I don't think I have ever seen my husband so upset about anything in a long time as he is right now. He is now going to have to contemplate closing his business (the one he just opened and is doing great) because we won't be able to afford the taxes to keep it open. Obama just killed his dream!

Memory Game....That I hijacked!!!

Okay, I am stealing this from a friend's blog, but I think it will be fun. Here's how it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one or more memories that you and I had together, or just some memory of me. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments or send you an email. (You know, you non-bloggers can still post comments. Just click "comments" below this post...)Okay, it's that simple. I hope everyone will play! I know a lot of you remember some fun, silly, or touching moments. Go on, give 'em up! Refresh my memory!

Nothing new and exciting here!

I would like to post something that is new with us, but unfortunately we are quite boring people. I have been left home alone as Rob has taken his Dad to the Hospital in Phoenix to have is eye operated on. There is a lot I don't understand about all that, but I'm sure I'll know later. However I did get the day off from work just to go open the bike shop for 2 days. This will be exciting as I know nothing about bikes.

We are going to Salt Lake next month to the Outdoor Retailer Show at the Salt Palace. This is probably the only vacation that we will get for a while. If you even call it that. Except when we go to the Bicycle Retailer Show (this is Disneyland for Rob). Even with the price of gas it is still cheaper for us to drive than to fly. So we will sit in a car for 11 hours each direction. We might be able to polish of a book on CD or two. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I will have some new pictures by then.

Here it is.....Green Valley Bike Hub!!!

So it took me a really long time to get these pictures posted. Thanks Summer for keeping me on my toes. This is the bike shop...finally! They are a little old by this point but you get the main idea of what the shop looks like. Rob has been really busy keeping the shop open from 10-6 Monday - Friday and 10-4 on Saturdays. I try to go hang out with him on Saturdays but church callings keep me busy. We have surprisingly been able to stay out of debt which is a great blessing. Given that it is already 100 degrees here the shop is doing well. Rob can't wait for the snowbirds to come back so things will really get moving.

As for me, my job is just dandy. I am really busy working days now. The last year I have been working at night which is goes at a slower pace and is a lot more fun. Days is go...go...go with lots of stuff to do and people to avoid. It pays the bills so I can't complain to much. For my many callings in church the Activity Day girls are very demanding for only being 8, 9, 10 and 11. They want to have the best activities ever. They love to scrapbook (I'm not good at that), swim, and go camping. Lets just say it will be a long summer. Then there is the cannery. My ward is crazy about their food storage. The stakes focus this year is "Prepare ever needful thing". I am also on the ward commity for that as well. I am very busy at the moment, like all the rest of you. Is this where you say, "this too shall pass"? Hopefully!!!

The latest adventures of Rob and Tiff!!

San Diego, California....Feb 2008

We decided that we needed to go on vacation before Rob opens his bike shop in April and will not get to go on another one for a few years. So this day Feb 5th, we went to the San Diego Zoo. The World Famous San Diego Zoo is huge. So huge that there is 2 parks. This picture is from the Wild Animal Park in Escondido, CA.

This is a really bad picture, but the view was bueatiful. We had to spend 2 whole days visiting both parks.

On the way back to our hotel we decided to stop by and see the Temple. This is truely a bueatiful place. It sits right in the middle of the city right off the freeway. My camera doesn't like to take pictures of temples for some reason...that's why it blurry.

While Rob was taking care of some business, I set out to find one more place that we could go before we left to go home. Since San Diego is a big miltary town and Miramar is close by I searched on the internet and found the USS Midway. The all important aircraft carrier is now a museum on the Naval Pier. So off we go!! This thing is huge. If you ever get to tour old ships I recommend it. It is a great history lesson and an appreciation for the men who serve our country.

Syke!!! This will have to wait until later when I can make my computer do what I tell it to...and it is 2am. I must get some sleep.

10 YEARS AGO:
I was just getting off of my honeymoon in Vegas. Staying at the Gresko's house and moving down to Tucson. This all happened in the 3 1/2 week time frame.

2. Survive Acheivment Days
3. Go to work
4. Clean the bathroom
5. Do the dishes...don't have a dishwasher...this is more painfull than you think!

Thing I would do if I were a Millionaire:
*Invest it
*Pay off my bills
*Move to Hawaii

5 places I have lived:
1. Las Vegas, NV
2. Page, AZ
3. Rexburg, ID
4. Prescott, AZ
5. Tucson, AZ

5 Places I have worked:
1. Safeway
2. Mimi's Cafe
3. APAC Customer Services
4. Convergys
5. Tierra Antigua Realty

Some things that people don't know about me:
1. My house is a mess...alot!!
2. I'd rather clean the bathroom than do dishes
3. uuuhhhhmmmmm......don't realy have anything else.

Thanks Christina...for the look back 10 years ago!!! Can you believe Rob and I have been married for 10 years?

Happy...belated New Year!!

So I haven't updated this lately because I have been really busy with work, Real Estate and helping Rob get his lease finished with his bike shop. For all who don't know, Rob is going to open his bike shop in Green Valley (south of Tucson) by the end of March. We have the retail space and just need to get the floors, walls and inventory all set up. It has been stressful getting to this point but I'm sure he will enjoy it when he is open for business. As soon as everything is all set up I will post pictures for all to see.

My dog has thumbs!!

The other day Rob and I went to run errands before I had to get to work. Rob had called not even an hour later and told me that Shelby had gotten into candy that was left on the couch. The dogs are normally really good and they don't get into things that they shouldn't. I thought it was quite funny with what Rob found.

Shelby pulled it out of the package and licked all of the candy off the stick. I guess she really likes the Mexican chili candy. Who knew Shelby was so smart. How did we know who the culprit was? That's easy...the one with the sticky paws.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!! Miss ya all!!

Let's try pictures this time!

I don't know if the first post showed up correctly, so hopefully this won't look to cheesy. I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet. This is a whole new experience for me . Here are a few for your viewing pleasure.

This s Rob looking out into Monterey Bay. We spent a few days here just taking in the nice weather and great views. I can't believe this is where Rob grew up.

This of course it the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked all the way across and back. No such a great picture of me, but oh well.
Did you know you can get sunburned through the fog? Thanks for telling me!
